Quick Crafts: Go~Baby~Go from JoAnns

I found this at JoAnn's. It is a simple sewing project(s) and would be a great way to get some sewing experience if you are just starting out. I found it on sale for around $8.
This is what it looks like:

Here is what is all comes with:

You'll need to buy some thread that matches. I bought light green. You'll obviously also need a sewing machine, and then an iron and scissors.

Here's a closer look:

I bought two of these since I have two friends expecting girls. I haven't sewn them together yet but as you can see it will be simple and shouldn't take me no more than a half hour to complete. I'm also going to trace them just so I have a pattern to go by if I want to make more. :)

The first love of my life

Maverick is my dog. He's a male beagle. I've never wanted anything more then a dog a couple years ago so for a year I planned on getting a dog. I signed a lease for the following year that allowed me to have a dog. I researched types of dog, I wanted something not only for the "now" but for my future as well. I came down to a beagle or a bulldog. Well considering I'm a college student the price of a bulldog was basically out of my price range. Also they can have a lot of health problems and don't live very long. After this decision the search was on! I looked in news papers and on-line for beagle pups for sale. I had found a website that bread beagles. At the time the puppies they had were older and it was still months before I would be able to take one home. It was around April when I checked back in at the site. They had more puppies and pictures of them. I fell in love with one.

How could you resist this? I couldn't!
